LOVE NEVER FAILS! Disclaimer…This is a long post…I also recorded for anyone who would like to listen. As I sat in my den last night, thinking about how the Lord has kept me, I just began to worship HIM in the spirit. I said to my daughter, “Girly, God is just so Good! He’s never left us. We gonna be alright!”…just praising HIM! The devil thought he had me quiet or reduced in my passion to utilize social media to encourage someone through my own pain and also my triumph! I try to be transparent so that I can be a vessel…so that HE can use me to help others. I thought about an associate of mine who’s currently in the need of feeling the love of God…right now she’s going through what I experienced over a year ago. All I can tell her is that God loves her and she’ll be ok! Several people…both men and women have reached out to me for encouragement…God didn’t send that trial to me just for me, he did it for others as well. Through Darryl’s death, so many people have connected with God! They’ve seen how he moves and how he will keep you! More good days than bad.…God continues to bring me through! Love Never Fails! What does 'love never fails' mean in terms of how I show love to others and how HE shows love to me? Love is compared with other spiritual gifts in God’s word, “But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” Prophecies, tongues, and knowledge are all temporary. Not so with LOVE! Because LOVE is a basic characteristic of God and because God is eternal, LOVE is also ETERNAL. By saying, “Love never fails,” the Bible means that God's type of love will not fall or falter. Love never fails…to my understanding of these words, it means “Love never ends”! Love will never end! It transcends from heaven to earth! Love is mentioned throughout God’s word. Read Ephesians 3rd chapter, 17th verse, ”I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” Although our love for each other may fail at times or may not be felt always, God’s love NEVER FAILS! In other words, we need supernatural help from the Holy Spirit to clutch love. The kind of love God wants us to taste requires a move of God. For example, when the one you love with all of your heart unexpectedly or expectedly pass away or is no longer a part of your life…or, when that person that you love so dearly, breaks your heart…or, when that thing you’ve been planning for what seems like forever all of a sudden falls apart, God’s love for you will carry you through! A person that’s never tasted such a love in this world is incapable of grasping it. We cannot live like true children of God when we don’t know what the Father’s love, offered to us through Christ, really feels like. If you have never experienced broken human love or a broken heart, chances are, you haven’t fully felt the Love of God. His power must pour from HIS realm into our own, from His Spirit into ours, before we begin to understand we are loved unconditionally. After Darryl passed away, I discovered an amazing quality about the love of Jesus, It continues to heal (one moment at a time), soothes and is never failing. On the days when I long for a hug from Darryl or even just to hear his voice or hear him call my name as only he could, see his smile or just to hear his take on various subjects, God will allow a visit in my dreams, a breeze from the wind to just flow over me when the air is dry as the dessert… That’s love NEVER FAILING! When I learned to allow Jesus to minister His beautiful, unfailing love to my heart, the lies Satan tried to tell began to shrivel. The Lord restored to me the value of being a child of HIS. I’ve come to realize that we need to spend time with Jesus in his word, in worship with HIM and with HIS CHILDREN…before an act of God forces the connection. We should invite others including our children to taste and feel just how amazing HIS love is! Stay connected to HIM! To remain connected to the Spirit, so that we can grasp how wide and long and high and deep Jesus’ love really is. Whether you’ve had a peek of Christ’s love through your human relationships, or your personal journey, the Holy Spirit can help you grasp God’s holy affection. In all your broken places, you can be healed and molded into something beautiful…a reflection of HIS LOVE for YOU! Regardless of your race, religion or gender, HIS LOVE IS SUFFIECIENT and it’s available to us all! I’m so happy I’ve got the love of Jesus down in my heart! Satan will be mad at this post but I say to Satan, bring it on! I’ve got the love of God on my side! Have a wonderful day and show some love to someone for no reason at all! Ask God to show you who needs to feel his love today…he will do just that!
